How to view your sent email’s content in Flodesk?

If you’ve made a profitable content marketing plan for your business, by now, you’ve sent out at least 19 emails just this year to your list. That is if you email them weekly.

While 19 may not be a huge number, but it’s no surprise if you can’t recall what exactly you wrote in email number 2 or 5 to your audience.

If you want to see what the content was in an email you sent with Flodesk in mid-January or early February, there are a few ways to do it.

How to check your sent email’s content on your Emails dashboard in Flodesk?

You have two easy ways to check your single or campaign emails. Log in to your Flodesk account and go to your Emails dashboard.

If you don’t have a Flodesk account yet, learn about how to sign up for Flodesk and create your account here.

The Emails dashboard contains all your standalone emails—whether they’ve been already sent out or still in draft only.

Locate the sent email on your dashboard. If you don’t see it right away, don’t panic.

Use the Status filter and view your Sent emails only.

View your sent email content in the browser:

Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the email card and choose Share → View in Browser. This opens your email in a separate browser window, and you can view the email contents there.

This is my favourite method to check a past email. Because this way, you can also send this quick link to someone else and get feedback on your email content. Like a trusted friend or your business mentor.

View your sent email content via a duplicate:

Another way to see what you wrote in a past email is by duplicating it.

Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the email card and choose Duplicate. It creates an exact copy of the original. Click on Edit, and you can see the email content.

This method creates a copy of the original email on your dashboard. After reviewing the email content, you can go ahead and delete this duplicate. Click the 3 dots again, and this time, select Delete.

Now, what about emails that are in an active workflow? Is there a way to see the emails without pausing the workflow?
Yes, there is!

How to check your sent email’s content if it’s in a workflow?

In your Flodesk account, navigate to the Workflows dashboard. Similarly to the Emails dashboard, the Workflows dashboard contains all your workflows—whether they are published (active) or still in draft only.

View your workflow email content via a duplicate:

Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the workflow card and choose Duplicate. It creates an exact copy of the original workflow, including all the emails!

Click on an Email card on the main screen to select it. Then on the right sidebar, click on Edit, and you can view the email.

I like to keep such a duplicate draft of all my workflows for easy access.

If you find your Workflows dashboard cluttered as you set up a lot of workflows already, you can always click on the Status selector and only view your Draft or Published workflows.

View your workflow email content in your inbox:

I always test my workflows before I open them for my subscribers. So the first thing I do once a workflow is published is that I sign up with one of my test email addresses. This gives me a first-hand experience of what my subscribers will get.

Once the workflow emails arrive in my inbox, I move them to specific folders. To know which email belongs to which workflow, I name the folders after the workflow/sequence.

And then, whenever needed, I can check the emails in my inbox too.

Here you go. You’ve learned about 4 ways to view and check the content of your already sent emails.
