Workflows are a blessing. You set them up once, and they run on autopilot. You can use them to give a warm welcome to new subscribers or nurture your existing audience before launching a sales promo.
Typically, subscribers join your workflows or email sequences when they sign up via your opt-in form. And then, as you spread across the emails over a few weeks, they get your emails delivered to their inboxes automatically. A few days apart.
All the timings are usually based on when they sign up and join your list.
But what if you want to have more control over when those workflow emails are being sent?
Can you set a Flodesk workflow to a specific time?
Yes, you can! Simply use Time delays.
If you want your emails in the workflow to go out weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays, select the ‘certain day of the week‘ time delay.
If you want to be even more specific, you can combine two Time delay steps. First, set the ‘day of the week’ and then the ‘time of day’.
This way, you can tell the workflow to send out your email on Wednesday at 10:30 am—or similar.
Can you be even more specific with the timings?
Yes, you can. There’s a so-called ‘specific day of year‘ Time delay that lets you go super-specific. Like ‘wait until July 14, 2021, 9:00 am‘-specific.
But you need to be careful when using this kind of time delays because anyone joining the workflow after that date and time will be stuck and won’t go through the workflow. As this date and time will be in the past for them.
Therefore I only recommend using such time delays if you’re setting up a challenge that doesn’t accept late joiners (!), and where it’s important that everyone starts the workflow at the same time.
